JK Stands Behind the New England Patriots

Sen. Kerry Stands Behind New England Patriots,
Challenges Indiana Sen. Bayh to Put His Caramel Corn Where His Mouth Is
Predicts Brady and Co. Will Advance to Superbowl
Senator Kerry (D-Mass.) today made a bet with his colleague from Indiana, Sen. Evan Bayh (D–Ind.), predicting that the Patriots would beat the Colts this Sunday in the American Football Conference (AFC) Championship game.
Kerry offered to present Bayh and his staff with a hearty helping of Boston clam chowder if the Patriots lose this weekend in Indianapolis. In exchange, Bayh agreed to provide Kerry’s camp with an old Hoosier State favorite – South Bend Factory Chocolate Crunch, caramel corn drizzled with milk chocolate – if the Colts fall to the Patriots in this weekend’s game.
“The only thing I love more than watching the Patriots play is watching them beat the Colts,” Kerry said. “Overcoming an injury-plagued season, the Patriots have managed another outstanding finish – fighting their way into the playoffs and containing one of the most potent offenses in the league.”
The friendly bet follows the Patriots’ win this past weekend against the heavily-favored San Diego Chargers.

Senator Kerry knows a good team when he sees one. The Patriots have always come through against Manning and his Colts in every playoff they’ve had.
To paraphrase Al Sharpton’s unforgettable remark from three years ago;
The Pats are going to spank that pony all the way to the Superbowl.
Let us compare some stats.
Brady is 12-1 in playoff games.
Manning is 5-6 in playoff games.
mahalo
Ted,
I missed you. You should stop by more often. So let me guess—you’re rooting for the Patriots.
I must confess… I will always be a Packer fan ... even when it’s painful to watch.
I remember Superbowl 31 in Green Bay. Great timing on our move—just in time to see what true football fandom looks like when it’s delirious with joy.
BTW, guess who they beat? Yep, the Patriots.
Go Bears.
They are up against the nation’s sentimental favorite and they know it. The Bear players nearly sound like they are apologizing for wanting to win the game.
Sorry, but if Joe Paterno ain’t coachin’ then it just ain’t football.
(Parallel corollary: if UK ain’t playin’ then it just ain’t basketball. Go Cats!)
Sorry Sir this is one thing you are dead wrong on!
The Colts will win by 2 td’s. Don’t worry JK after the game game I here Tom Brady in on his way to Iran, They figure he is the only capable of over- throwing a war lord! Better Luck next year Patties.
Ted! Nice to hear from you again.
Ah, I gotta go with the Patriots on this one. I really thought they might not make it out of San Diego alive, but they did. I think they are ‘due’ against the Colts, so I think the Senator has the right of it on this one.
Dynasty!
I think the senator and his staff are going to end up with a whole lot of chocolate.
Tom Brady reminds me so much of Joe Montana; Montana was a smart guy who knew how to get the best out of the guys around him.
Pats win.
Well, this may be a first, but I finally found something on which I disagree with Senator Kerry. As a long time Colts fan (even longer than I’ve known of John Kerry) I am hoping that the Colts and Tony Dungy will get to the Super Bowl and go all the way. Apart from that J.K.; I hope you will win the next political Super Bowl. We need you and we have your back!
Well, Senator, all I can say is, I never thought I’d be rooting for Evan Bayh’s side over yours! (grin)
I really can’t abide the Patriots, and, although I’m more than a little disillusioned with the Colts, I’ve got the greatest respect for Tony Dungy (as an old TB Bucs fan who remembers the days of the horrid orange uniforms). The teams I like best these days are the Packers and the Eagles, but since they’re on the golf course, I’m rooting for the Colts and the Saints.
Go Patriots!!!
