Voting in Massachusetts
Road Report from Ted Chiodo:
With 12 hours and 45 minutes left until the end of the 06 elections, John Kerry and his daughter, Vanessa Kerry, arrived at the Massachusetts state house to vote.
The early morning breeze was blowing from across the bay as JK and Vanessa walked down to the polling place on Beacon Hill. The lines were short, signs clearly marked the polling place and everyone was in good spirits. JK and Vanessa were smiling and shaking hands with voters as they exited the first floor polling station.
Today is the day we have all been looking forward to. And now it’s time for all of us to do our part along with JK to turn the state houses and Congress blue. God Speed and Good Luck!
Back soon with reports from GOTV efforts in Massachusetts today.
Mahalo!
Let’s get to it!

Thanks to everyone who goes to the polls today! And thanks to JK for working to make voting safe and fair for more people this year. Perhaps someday we’ll have an entire Congress devoted to the issue of voting equality.
From the movement analyst hat: look at the elegance of the man. Doesn’t he look like he could glide ahead and drive with accuracy?

Did you see Drudge today? Apparently, someone leaked the Senator’s to-do list. It contained only the following items:
1. Look good.
2. Fight evil.
Hi I’m doing GOTV calls for MoveOn—I don’t think I would have thought of signing up for it except for that appeal JK mailed out (the same one that’s up on the webpage). For those who aren’t out doing door-to-door GOTV today, this is easy and much more satisfying than wringing your hands and waiting. And for those of us who want a tangible way to show that we’ve still got the Senator’s back, it looks like, if you get to the MoveOn page through the link provided in JK’s post, somebody somewhere is keeping track of how many volunteers JK is able to muster. So you kill two birds with one stone.
Let’s go get em’!
It is not over yet. But, I want to publically thank Senator Kerry for all the hard work and leadership during these past two years. Your dedication to holding the administration accountable is the main reason that Democrats were able to make substantial gains. This night is not over. However, I have no doubts that your efforts are the main reason that Democrats have had such an outstanding election. Thank-you.
