BOSTON - Senator John Kerry today issued the following statement on the House of Representative's passage of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act.

"I am pleased that the Congress passed an economic rescue plan to help restore strength and stability to America's financial system and overall economy. This legislation will help protect Massachusetts small businesses, families and hospitals from a serious credit crunch and will help restore confidence in our capital markets and our financial institutions.
